The Blog List

I don't normally promote random things like this but, I really like the Blog List gadget that's available on Blogger. It's really quite cool, you can create a list of all the blogs that you are following and then import them into the Blog List where you then see all of the blogs in the order that they were last update. You can choose to show just the title of the last blog or include a snippet as well. It's really convenient while working on your own blog to look at your list and see whose recently posted so you can take a look at what's new. Private blogs will show up in the list with only the blog name and no additional information, but either way it's nice to have all the blogs I'm interested in easily in the same place.

28 Weeks + 1 Day Pregnant

Andrew was being funny so when I asked him to take a picture of my pregnant belly this is what we got:

This is obviously the real pregnant picture. :)

Check Out Our Awesome Online Baby Shower!!!

My sister-in-law Megan is awesome!!! :) She did an online baby shower for her sister last year and it turned out really great and I thought I would be a copy cat (the truest form of flattery), because I really wanted an online baby shower too. It is especially nice to do it this way since we moved far far away not too long after I got pregnant. So here's the link: http://andrewmorganbabyshower.blogspot.com/. Feel free to look around and enjoy!!! I'm super excited. :)

It's a Crib!!!

We went to the Mesa Temple today (we got our reccomends renewed this week) and afterwards we went to Ikea since it is realatively close to the Temple.

We were primarily looking for cheap fabric to make slip covers for our 2 couches (they are cat damaged). We found some fabric that we liked but it wasn't cheap enough for us (to make it worth it for me make them instead of buy them), so we'll keep looking. We were also semi-looking for a dresser for me and a crib for baby. We didn't find a dresser but we did find a crib. Hurray!!! The crib matches the dresser/changing table we got previously at Ikea. And in true Andrew fashion we put it together soon after we got home. :) I really like it and now that we have that and the mattress I can start making the fitted sheet and the bumpers with the cute fabric I have. I'm really excited!!! :)

I think I'm going to leave the room like this; the futon is underneath the window and the closet is behind me and the door is to the left. What do you think?

Humpty Dumpty Is Back Together Again!!!

It only took 3 weeks and 1 day to finally get the house looking like it's ours. Hurray!!! I am just like my mom in the fact that I don't like living out of boxes. Here are the pictures promised of our new home all "put together". The one thing that still needs to be done is figure out where the smaller pictures are going to go. We've already hung the large mirror (which I can't see myself in because it's too high) and the painting Andrew got from a model home when he was moving houses. There's also one more fan that needs to be hung in the craft room. So stick a fork in it, it's done!!!

Our Living Room
You can see the stack of pictures, that need to be hung, to the right of the entertainment center.

Our Kitchen & Dining Room
Andrew hung our lid racks from Ikea next to the kitchen window and we're waiting for the hanging pot rack to arrive. Then all the plastic ware in the box between the counter and the shelves can finally be put away.

Our Dining Room
I love my homemade spice rack and shelves. We're using the small round table in here because it's round and I wanted the rectangle table in the craft room.

The Nook Above our Hallway
I'm glad I had something to put up there, though I'm thinking about switching the yellow vase on the end with the orange vase on the other end.

Our Bedroom
The walls are really boring but I'm sure some of the pictures will be hung in here.

The Other Half of Our Bedroom
I found the vanity at an Ebay store for really cheap and free shipping! It was brand new in the original box.

Our Bathroom
The one issue that I have with this bathroom is the counters are "executive" height and I'm not.

Our Shower

Part of Our Closet
Since my dresser was always meant to be the baby's dresser I am now using plastic drawers for those items that don't hang up well.

Another Part of Our Closet
Andrew gets the top bar & shelf and I get the bottom for obvious reasons. :)

Our Hall/Coat Closet
All of our coats are in this closet and we haven't had a need for one yet. I've got a lovely wool coat that I'm not sure the next time I'll get to wear it, it doesn't get that cold in Arizona.

The Baby's Room
There's not much going on here and it isn't arranged the way it will be when it's a nursery. Everything is just hanging out until we start buying baby stuff.

All The Baby Stuff We Have
It's really kind of sad; we've been focusing our attention on getting all our stuff out of boxes that we haven't really bought anything for baby. Except the box of baby wipes, there was a coupon at Costco for them.

The Laundry Room
I originally wanted to put a freezer on the left but there isn't an outlet to plug one in. :(

The Garage
This is our collection of boxes on top of Tim & Megan's china hutch and dining room table and chairs. This is also a teaser shot of Jared's ATV. :)

The Garage (continued)
We're collecting boxes to recycle and those wood frames are what the large breakable items came in. This is the beginning of Andrew's wood collection (again).

The Guest Bathroom
It's decorated in all the stuff from our previous bathrooms since they no longer work with the master bathroom.

The Linen Closet
If you ever come and stay at our house you do not need to bring a blanket or a towel. Some how this has become quite a collection.

The Craft Room
This was the last room to be put together and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

The Craft Room (continued)
I was preparing to do my first sewing project (a basket liner) because I had already cut the pieces out ages ago, but I couldn't make sense of the pieces so the project was postponed. :)
