Peter's 6 Month Appointment

Here are the stats:

Height - 28" - 90%

Weight - 16 lb 1 oz - 25%

He's still tall and skinny.

I asked the doctor if I should be concerned about Peter's weight and he said no. As long as he's eating when he's hungry until he's full, which he does, then there's nothing to worry about.

The doctor was so impressed with how content he was (he had just woken up from a nap) that he actually marked in his chart that Peter was mellow. :) He did really well with his shots too. He cried for a little bit right when he was being poked but calmed right down afterward. The nurse made the comment that it's so sad to poke the babies, especially when they're as cute as Peter is. That made me laugh, because according to her it's not as sad to poke the ugly babies.

I Made a Fish

It is made from the same material that I made Peter's sleep sack out of. He really seemed to like playing with the sleep sack. I assumed it was the fabric that he liked. So I figured I would make something that he really could play with.

I found a clip art picture of a fish online, printed it out in the size I wanted and used it like a pattern. The eyes are really small button holes and the mouth is a satin stitch. I've decided that it is a boy fish because in the process of sewing him up he ended up with a big chin. :) I can't wait to see Peter play with it.

Baby Crack...

...is it good or bad?

This video is of Peter watching Baby Einstein

Peter is watching Baby Einstein Farm Animals. He only looked away from the TV when I moved closer to him.

Andrew's brother showed us the baby crack one day in Washington. He asked us if we wanted to see something funny and he turned on a Baby Einstein video and the then 2 year old Daniel comes running up and just stands staring at the TV. It was hilarious. He just stood there until it was over. I think Kaela who was 3 at the time came and stood and watched for a while too.

Also notice how well Peter sits up in the Bumbo. He's sat up on his own only a couple of times but he gets interested in something on the floor and doesn't stay sitting up.

Writing on the Wall

I got these super fun foam letters at Joann's. They're crooked but I'm told that gives them character. This picture helps make the green look not so bright. :) After I put these up Andrew said, "I didn't realize we name our son after this room." Goof ball! :)
