Still Starving, Peter?

Today I was sitting on the floor playing with Peter when he scoots himself over to me and looks at my big toe and then munches on it! He had it in his mouth for a little bit and turns his head to look at something else and then does it again! I wish I had my camera close by because then we would have a picture of Peter eating both of our toes.

It must be a stage that he's in right now because he will put his mouth on my arm or whatever is close to his mouth and blow. It's kind of like he giving us raspberries where ever he can. We will typically just give him raspberries on his belly. It's not just us he does this to. We have one of those plastic bins for his (clean) diapers and he will come up to it and put his mouth on it and makes noises.

And just because Peter's so cute and this post needs a picture...

This proves he does have hair...

Cute Peter Stories:

I have all of Peter's toys and books in separate baskets in the living room. Peter loves to pull everything out of said baskets and spread them all over the floor. He proceeds to roll around on his toys and books until something across the room catches his eye like the diaper bin (full of clean cloth diapers) or the shoe rack. Those things also do not belong in or on what I put them. It's really cute to watch him roll around especially when he gets to something that stops his progress like a wall, a sliding glass door or even the couches because once he gets to that stopping point he lays on his back and props his feet up on whatever stopped him.

Peter really loves to eat "real" food. Some of his favorites are applesauce, sweet potatoes, squash, baby grain cereal, baby cereal puffs & ritz crackers. He will eat yogurt but he doesn't seem to like it as much as the other foods. He really likes those little baby puff cereal things and has gotten quite proficient at putting them into his own mouth.

The other day I was eating some shredded wheat while Peter was on the floor playing and he saw me eating and pushed himself up with his arms and opened his mouth really wide and made a noise. He was definitely letting me know that he wanted some of whatever I was eating. So I sat down on the floor and he scooted himself to me and opened his mouth again. So I sat him up (he will stay sitting but can't s and let him try some of the dregs without any milk and he loved it!

Peter being a wizard.

Being adorable.

Put your hands in the air and wave them like you just don't care.

He can see all the good stuff in there and he knows that using the handle will open it. Too bad he doesn't understand locks yet.

Another just looking adorable. His shirt says, "It wasn't me... it was the strained peas."

Intently watching TV and holding on to the beloved water bottle (they make great noise makers).

He has just discovered the awesome noises the door stoppers make.

This is my spoon, want some?

Relaxing with his feet up checking out the back patio.

I got it in my mouth all by myself.

These books do not belong in this basket.

The toys didn't want to be in the orange basket.
Success!

What can I say? He's really good at looking adorable.

One of Peter's favorite items to be in his mouth... the remote!!

This is also good for the mouth.

He discovered the swiffer and is using his feet to assist in the examination.

He looks so tiny underneath that book.

This is his favorite book to play with. The little yellow duck goes all the way through the book.

He discovered the dustpan and what better way to enjoy a new thing than by putting your feet up on the couch?

Starving Peter

We were just enjoying a nice quiet Sunday afternoon at home. Peter was playing on the floor and Andrew was reading the comics and I was looking at the ads from the Sunday paper when out of nowhere this happens:

Apparently we don't feed our child enough. It wasn't just a quick bite either I had time to get up find the camera sit back down and take a picture. This is definitely one for the future Mrs. Peter to see. :)

Smile for the Camera

Peter has gotten really good at staying sitting up all by himself so I decided that I needed to get a picture of it. The first picture I took Peter still had his pacifier in his mouth but I could tell he was smiling. So I plucked it out of his mouth and went to take a picture and he gave me the cutest smile. :) He officially smiles for the camera.

Peter's 6 Month Appointment

Here are the stats:

Height - 28" - 90%

Weight - 16 lb 1 oz - 25%

He's still tall and skinny.

I asked the doctor if I should be concerned about Peter's weight and he said no. As long as he's eating when he's hungry until he's full, which he does, then there's nothing to worry about.

The doctor was so impressed with how content he was (he had just woken up from a nap) that he actually marked in his chart that Peter was mellow. :) He did really well with his shots too. He cried for a little bit right when he was being poked but calmed right down afterward. The nurse made the comment that it's so sad to poke the babies, especially when they're as cute as Peter is. That made me laugh, because according to her it's not as sad to poke the ugly babies.
