Pants Are TOTALLY Overrated!!!

Fabulous Firsts & A Bunch of Cute Pictures

Peter experienced a few firsts in the past couple of weeks. He tried cereal, he drank out of a sippy cup, he went swimming & then had his first shower, he also stayed home with a babysitter while we went to see Star Trek (he slept the entire time).

I think it's interesting that in some of the pictures his hair looks red and other it looks brown or blond. I have no idea what his hair color will end up being. Though most of the time in real life his hair looks dirty blond.

I think he was more interested in playing with the spoon than with eating what was on it.

I didn't think it was that bad.

"Why do you keep putting this strange stuff in my mouth?"

"I've got this stuff all over me... where did that spoon go? I want to play with it."

He had been playing with the cup earlier and actually drank some while Andrew was holding him.

He's actually quite good at getting the spout into his mouth.

Ready to go swimming.

I love this picture. He wasn't totally sure about being in the floaty-tube but he didn't mind sitting in the water.

All done swimming. "Let's go home and get some clothes on me."

He likes to chew on his towel when he's all wrapped up. He will also chew on the sleeves of his pajamas too.

Andrew had just given Peter a bath and was laying out the diaper (top left) and the pajamas (bottom) when he decided to roll out of his towel. Baby bums are the cutest thing ever.

This is how Peter spends his tummy time. He looks like he's trying to fly.

Again with the flying.
When he gets tired of holding his head up, he lays down.

I love the way he just lays his head down.

Trying to grab the camera.

Just chilling.

He did this to himself. At one point all of the toys were in his reach. When he moves he goes backwards.

He got tired of reaching for his toys.

Peter's 4 Month Appointment

Here are the stats:

Height - 26 1/2" - 95%
Weight - 15 lb - 50%

It's official Peter is tall and skinny just like his dad. :)

There are so many other babies in our ward that it's hard not to compare Peter to them especially to the babies that are the closest to his age. It's funny there are a few girls that are close to the same age as Peter and he is so much bigger than them. It's really interesting how our bodies all work the same way and yet are so very different.

Tummy Time with Peter

The last two mornings I've gone to get Peter out of his crib and he was on his stomach!!! That's super exciting. He's been rolling over a lot more on his own. It's funny because, especially if he's tired, he's not sure what to do once he's on his stomach. Peter is a "Tummy Tooter." It's hilarious, if he's on his stomach for a while he will start tooting and just keep going. I guess his body isn't used to that type of pressure. The first time he did it we thought it was Andrew sleep tooting, but it was definitely Peter. Also another "major" thing I've noticed Peter doing the past 24 hours is he's started to stick his tongue out. It doesn't make it all the way out but it comes out past his lips, which he's never done before. I have a feeling that that's going to increase his drool production.

***Random Side Note***
When I go out to the grocery store or really anywhere when Peter's awake people really like to comment on his bright blue eyes and the beautiful shape of his head. I understand people commenting on his eyes but the shape of his head? It would make more sense if he was just a tiny new born but he's 4 months old. As a c-section baby he didn't have the cone shape head like most babies do, but isn't 4 months long enough for the cone head to go away?
