Peter is 3 Months Old!

These last couple of weeks have been pretty exciting. Peter has started to notice things around him and he's also more "mobile" than he's ever been before. He lifts his legs into the air and just about every morning he's in a totally different position from when I laid him down; I'm not sure how he manages that since he's swaddled in a swaddle blanket. He's also really interested in the camera now. I will take a picture then turn it around so he can look and he really focuses on the screen. He is also interested in the camera while I'm taking pictures too; yesterday and today I've been trying to get a 3 month picture of him smiling and he's too interested in the red light on his face and the camera that he will get a thinking face on and stop smiling. Peter has the cutest laugh, though there is a fine line between his laugh and one of his cries. I love that when I go to pick him up out of his crib in the morning he smiles and laughs. Andrew is really enjoying actually being able to interact with Peter; he really likes getting a reaction when he tickles him, etc. I am really enjoying how long Peter will sleep at night. For example last night he fell asleep around 7pm and woke up this morning around 5:30am and Saturday night he fell asleep around 8pm and slept until almost 7:30am!!

Peter lifts his legs up into the air.

He also rolls up onto his side
(sometimes I help him and then he goes to his stomach on his own).

He will hold things in his hands for long periods of time
(I may or may not have put that there).

Or he will figure out how to fling it out of his hand.

It's very exciting that he will notice and stare at things now.

The first time I put him in this he didn't even look up.

This is just a really cute picture of his sad face.

He left the sunglasses on for a good 20 minutes before he decided they weren't cool anymore

Look at those legs!! I can't believe how chubby they've gotten.

A cute family picture at the Zoo

Somehow I've developed a tan! Peter is quite the drooler now.

I found a Bumbo at a secondhand store and he really likes to sit up in it.

When Mommy needs a break Peter will play games with Daddy.

I noticed Peter grabbing the back of his head the other day. It looks like he's thinking and instead of rubbing his chin he's rubbing his head.

That cool ball was sitting on the tray in front of him but he grabbed it all on his own. He made various attempts to get it into his mouth but alas it's bigger than his head so he had no luck there.

He actually enjoys tummy time now.

What great head control Peter!!!

Look at how tiny his hands are!!!

You Know You're Married to an Engineer When...

... you start having thoughts like this:

The other day I was thawing some milk for Peter. The way I do it is, I get a bowl of water and microwave it for a couple of minutes then put the milk bag in to thaw it/heat it up. When the milk was thawed the water was cold, naturally. So, the thought that came to me was, "the milk took the water's energy, that's why the water is now cold." Seriously!?! Andrew has gotten into my head. :) It took him long enough; I mean we've only been married 4.5 years now.

When I told Andrew this story earlier tonight I said, "Do you want to hear a funny story?" Then told him what I wrote above and he said, "That's awesome! But what's so funny?"
